All this warm weather reminds us that it's time to clean out your basements and garages and get ready for the Neighborhood Yard Sale!
The Neighborhood Yard Sale will take place from Thursday, May 15 through Saturday, May 17, from 8am to 2pm each day. The Oakbridge, Walnut Grove and Wexford neighborhoods will also be holding their yard sales the same weekend!
Families are welcome to participate in all or only some of the days and to set their own hours. Each participating family will be given a balloon to tie to their mailbox to mark their house and signs will be put up around the neighborhood prior to the event. The SCNA will advertise in various places.
If interested in hosting your sale during this time, please contact Jenn Rygiewicz at twidget808@yahoo.com or text 608-239-7113 prior to Saturday, May 10th to get a balloon for your mailbox. You can pick up your balloon on the afternoon/evening of Wednesday, May 14th at our house on Farmington Way. After the garage sales, please do not take down the neighborhood signs, as Jenn will collect them after the event.
We are excited to announce that the annual SCNA Spring Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 19, at Sauk Creek Park on High Point Road at 10:30am. Bring the little ones to search for eggs (bring your own baskets, please!) and collect them for prizes, take pictures with our very own Easter Bunny, or just come to meet your neighbors over coffee!
We are looking for volunteers to help with:
- set up (starting at 10am)
- tear down
- exchange collected eggs for goodies
- order and deliver coffee
Our events are always as great as the volunteers involved! If you are interested in helping out, please sign up here: signupgenius.com/go/4090D45AEAB2AA5FD0-55856389-spring
